        <![CDATA[<p>Salkehatchie Stew: Bamberg County's Brew, a celebration of Bamberg County's people and heritage through stories, is scheduled for March 19 and 20, 2010, in Bamberg, SC and Denmark, SC.  <br />
The Brew includes entertaining storytelling for all ages featuring regional storytellers Millie Chaplin and Tom Cuny and headliner Donna Washington. </p>

<p>Visitors can browse displays of collections of all kinds and hear collectors' stories, compete in a tall tale telling contest, savor delectable food, see and hear historical remembrances of Bamberg County, and view "Displaced"--a  documentary film telling the stories of people and communities who were displaced when the <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savannah_River_Site" title="Savannah River Site" rel="wikipedia">Savannah River Site</a> was built. </p>

<p>Bamberg will also sponsor a heritage tour of Southern gardens and porches on April 17.</p>

<p>Salkehatchie Stew continues to collect audio recordings of local stories, creating an archive that offers insight into the rich culture of the region. <br /></p>

<p>Production dates are <br />
April 16-18 in Allendale at the B&amp;G Civic Center, <br />
April 23-25 at the Dane Theater in Denmark, <br />
April 30 &amp; May 1 in Hampton at the Palmetto Theater, and <br />
May 2 in Estill at the Estill School District Auditorium.   <br /> <br />
Performance times in all theaters are Friday evenings at 7:30 and Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 3:00.   <br /><br />
