This state-owned property features 4,000 acres and ranges
from woods to wetlands to fields. The beach ranks second along the South
Carolina coast for sea turtle nesting and provides one of the rare nesting
areas for Wilson's plovers and the Least Tern, both threatened bird species in
South Carolina.
A rare treasure that we feel mixed about sharing... tread lightly and help keep it pristine.
