The Bedon-Lucas House

205 Church St.
Walterboro, South Carolina

The Bedon-Lucas House is directly across from the Little Library.
It was built circa 1820 by N. Y. Perry and was sold to Richard Bedon. He in turn sold it to Clarence Lucas (son of Jonathan Lucas who built the Old Jail).

In 1995, it was listed as one of the eleven most endangered historic properties in South Carolina.
It stayed in the Lucas family until the Colleton County Historical and Preservation Society purchased the house in 1996.
It is in the process of being renovated and is used as a house-museum.
